Geraldo is 42 yrs old, born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Being on boats since his early teens, Geraldo still has a huge passion for all nautical subjects and believes that he has great skills dealing with people. Geraldo spent most of his life aboard pleasure vessels and decided a few years ago to make a move toward a Yachting industry career. He is been working professionally as a Skipper for the last three years. His current status is a MCA 200 tons yacht master and also had a Yacht Master Ocean issued by a Brazilian Association which included celestial navigation more than a decade ago. He has skills on general maintenance on complex vessels and their systems. Reading catalogs, books, manuals and any other means of how to better maintain and understand boats and their systems is his everyday hobby. His background is in the aviation industry as a commercial airplane pilot and he also has a Bachelor of Arts degree in architecture.
Andy Passos is his wife and they have been living together aboard our 40 footer since 2004 until now. During this period they sailed the US east coast from Baltimore to Key West, the Bahamas and the Caribbean. She is 34 yrs old, born in Porto Alegre, in the south part of Brazil. She also shares a huge passion for vessels and the sea. She is absolutely natural at the kitchen and she really enjoys her job. Her skills for cooking are a family heritage. She has a tremendous energy and she doesn't get intimidated with long shifts. She was an event manager for more than ten years working with all major hotel chains and big corporate companies down in Rio de Janeiro. That's where she learned how to decorate and how to beautifully set table topping arrangements. Neither of them are drinkers or smokers.
